Election day - sure glad when this day is over. The TV ads, the phone calls and mail. Do you get this call, “Hello, this is Rachael”. My sister in Belle Valley says she gets it a lot. Want to lower your interest. I think the frost finally got about all my flowers last night. My roses were still pretty. The mums have been so pretty.
Happy birthday to all in November. To Jessica VanMeenen Williams on Nov. 17; to Dorothy Anderson and Freances Felton on Nov. 28 and many more.
Prayer for a granddaughter.
Lord, lead her ... This child is my daughter’s body. With gentle hands, lift her to heights of wisdom, impel her to seek you in the pastel dawn. Mark her path with your sandal prints. Teach her to kneel at your footstool, to follow you to the gates of eternity. To delight in walking the second mile. Lord, enrich her...When the tiger’s claw wounds, comfort this small lamb on your bosom. Beckon her quickly to the foot of your cross. Bestow upon her a yielding heart, a well tuned ear, a velvet touch, an unquenchable thirst for the “Living Waters.” And oh, Lord, please cherish her. By L.C.
