2014 Woodsfield Kiwanis Club Annual Meeting

    The Woodsfield Kiwanis Club held its annual meeting on Sept. 30 at Rubel Park in Woodsfield. Several orders of business were completed including the welcoming of new members, the transitioning to new officers, and the naming of award winners. Ed Paulus was named as the 2013-14 Kiwanian of the Year. He is pictured with the plaque he received for the honor.

Utilities Announce First Step in Transmission Grid Improvement in Southeast Ohio

    Efforts to improve the reliability of electric service in southeastern Ohio could get started as early as this fall. AEP Ohio, AEP Ohio Transmission Company, Washington Electric Cooperative and Buckeye Power are announcing a preliminary schedule and defining three components of the Marietta Area Transmission Project.
