Bryce Christman is shown enjoying Woodsfield Kiwanis’ “Breakfast With Santa” event with his grandmother Kelly Christman (top). The grand marshall of the Woodsfield Christmas parade was the Grinch.  Shown (bottom, photo by Martha Ackerman) are the Grinch and Mary-Lou Who (Henry and Kerry Farmer) and of course Max in the green "sleigh" driven by Tony Yonak with his grandchildren Paul, Emma, Grace and Hannah.

Woodsfield was alive with the sights and sounds of Christmas on Dec. 8 as the seventh annual Woodsfield Christmas Festival was held, this year with a Whoville theme. Despite the rain, several people attended, and the festival raised a total of $721.50 for Warm the Children and the Lewisville Food Pantry.

Several vendors were present in the Monroe County Courthouse throughout the day. The highlight of the day came with the parade at 6 p.m. Grand marshall of the parade was the Grinch while Santa appeared as well. Announcing the parade was Bill Frank.

After the parade, a Christmas poem was read by Dorothy Ricer. Closing the festivities was the lighting of the county Christmas tree by Carver Bolon.
