|Monroe County Parks District Receives Grant For Marina|

The Monroe Parks District recently announced that they will be receiving a grant for improvements at the Monroe Park and Marina. The marina, formerly the Ohio River Locks and Dam #15, is located one mile north of the intersection of SR 800 and SR 7 in Fly.
A total amount of $928,555 will be received for the project. The total will be halved between two funding sources with $464,277.50 coming from the Ohio Division of Watercraft and $464,277.50 coming from the Ohio Division of Wildlife.
The project is described on the grant agreement in the following manner: “Design for and reconstruction of a two lane ramp with a combination boarding and courtesy dock, new lighting for the car/trailer parking, paving of the car/trailer parking, and bank stabilization only as necessary."
