The Monroe Central Seminoles boys basketball team continued their dominating season with a 3-0 performance this week including a 100 point output against Barnesville.
The team began the week with a road win against PVC rival Shenandoah. The final score was 81-76 after Shenandoah wiped away nine points of a 14 point Monroe Central lead before falling. Monroe Central was led by a dominating performance beyond the arc by Cameron Jorris. Jorris finished the game with 30 points including 21 which came on three-pointers.
Also leading a balanced scoring effort were Levi Brown (12 points), Bryan Duffy (12 points), Kordell Antill (nine points) and Korey Lafferre (nine points). Leading the team in rebounds was Lafferre (eight), Josh Guiler (six rebounds to go with three points) and Chandler Kuhn (five rebounds, five points).
Next on tap for the Seminoles were the visiting Barnesville Shamrocks on Dec. 14. The Shamrocks had no idea what kind of storm they were entering and left Monroe Central with a crushing 101-61 loss. Monroe Central's explosive offense allowed the team to reach the elusive triple-digit points total in the forty point victory.
