I expect that many people took pictures of the ice on trees and other objects these last few days. It had its beauty for sure, but personally, I’d as leave forget and be able to walk, not slide out the doors. It’s a personal thing I guess.

Last Saturday we planted tulips and Jim covered them with hay for safe keeping. Let’s hope they don’t forget which end’s up!

Today I hope to finally start a rug for just the right spot, perhaps at the back door or under the rocker in the sunroom. You have to remember that I have a stack of high hopes and false starts. With yarn being so costly, I’m thinking of cutting strips of cast-off material and crocheting or braiding some rugs or mats. Annie Hutcheson showed me how many years ago and I believe in me enough to give it a go. Wish me a batch of “stick to it” and we’ll see...

My new Country Sampler arrived yesterday and I’ve already “broke it in” so to say. It has the look of a well read and not a will read it later That’s my reason for buying magazines and though they aren’t cheap, stackin’ them deep. Though Jim has no favorites, he clings to his circle words and would be hard put to throw one away. This issue makes much of spring and Easter. Let’s just hope the contents don’t cover up the true meaning of Easter nor forget to a new beginning.
