As the first period buzzer sounded, River committed a foul, and the Lady Tigers made two of three from the line to close the first with a 12-8 River lead. The Tigers fought their way back into the game in the second, thanks to River’s turnovers and missed opportunities. The game was tied at 16 with 4:31 remaining, but Shadyside went on a run to end the half with River trailing 26-19. River's third quarter was not their best. They only scored 6 points, while giving up 14. River fell by the final score of 55-44. Cassidy McCullough had 14 points, 3 rebounds and 3 steals. Jensen Caretti had 13 points and 10 rebounds. Laken Ramsay scored 6 points. Emile Weaver contributed 5 points and 5 rebounds. Haylee Bowers had 3 points and 5 rebounds. Landyn Ramsay added 3 points. Tuesday, January 29th, was a busy night for the Pilots. The girls team played host to Shenandoah, while the boys traveled to Buckeye Trail. The girls lost by the score of 50-44, after leading at the end of the first, second and third quarters. Caretti led the team with 15 points and 9 rebounds. McCullough added 11 points.
