The Beallsville Blue Devils boys basketball team began their week with a disappointing loss to Cameron on the road on Jan. 29. Beallsville seemed to be cruising after the first quarter as they opened up a 19-13 lead. However, the second quarter saw them lose the lead and fall behind by a score of 33-28 going into half-time. The third quarter was fairly even before Cameron pulled away in the final frame for a final score of 80-64.
Beallsville was led in the game by Teryn Jarrett who scored 24 points despite a rough shooting day. Jarrett also had five assists and four rebounds to fill out his stat line. Also starring for Beallsville was Tristen Palmer who pulled down an impressive 13 rebounds to go with his 11 points. Other contributors included Kyle Groves (14 points, five rebounds), Chase Mercer (eight points), Logan Nippert (four points, five rebounds) and Dalton Secrest (three points, seven rebounds).
