Steve Schumacher is shown accepting the Steve D. Ruhl Agricultre & Natural Resources Outstanding County Educator Award.

Steve Schumacher, has been recognized by The Ohio State University Extension for his outstanding contribution to the Agricultural and Natural Resources program area.

Schumacher received the Steve D. Ruhl Agriculture & Natural Resources Outstanding County Educator Award during The Ohio State University Extension Annual Conference at the Ohio Union on the OSU Campus.

The award, established in 2007 and named after Steve D. Ruhl, the Morrow County OSU Extension Educator who passed away in the same year, recognizes a county educator who has provided outstanding educational programs.

Ruhl was the first recipient of the award. Schumacher, an OSU Extension Educator for Belmont County, became the sixth recipient in 2012.
