Shadyside’s Kelsey Holloway scorched the nets with 22 first half points as the Lady Panthers sprinted out to a 51-40 lead at intermission. But, the Mountaineers would not go away. The game was tight throughout the second half and OUE led by only one at 86-85 with 26 ticks left until Holloway got free for a layup and an 88-85 margin. Following a WVUP miss, St. John’s alum Natalie Perzanowski swished two free throws for the final score. Holloway led OUE with 27 points and 8 steals. Beallsville’s Julie Bilyeu and Shadyside’s Sarah Neavin scored 18 points each, while Perzanowski added 15 points and 6 assists. Bilyeu also grabbed a game high of 12 rebounds.
