The River Pilots boys varsity basketball team defeated Magnolia twice in the regular season.  However, cross-river rival Magnolia proved to be too much for River in their OVAC semifinal match-up on Feb. 13. In the end, Magnolia cruised to a blow-out win of 72-45.

River will be bumped to the consolation game where they will face Monroe Central on Feb. 15. Details about both OVAC games will be available in the 2/21 Beacon.
