Accidents

Feb. 6 at 6:01 p.m., Christopher R. Davis, Woodsfield, was traveling South on SR 800 in a 2007 Pontiac G6 and went left of center and sideswiped a 2003 Chevy Cavalier driven by Pamela M. Briggs, Lewisville. Briggs’ Chevy Cavalier sustained minor damage and it had to be towed. Davis was cited for left of center and Briggs was cited with driving under OVI SU.

Accidents

Jan. 28 at 10:12 a.m., a 2001 Dodge Ram driven by a juvenile, Lewisville, was traveling East on E. Court St. The 2001 Dodge Ram had a green light and was proceeding through the intersection. Adam Paul Archer, Woodsfield, was driving a 2008 Chrysler Sebring south on N. Paul St. and ran through the red light striking the juvenile's Dodge Ram in the passenger front side. There was moderate damage to Archer's Chrysler and it had to be towed. Archer was cited with failure to yield.

Feb. 6, Jennifer Biedenbach, Woodsfield, was driving a 2010 Dodge 2500 in Riesbeck's parking lot.  As Biedenbach had started to make a left turn, she struck a 1997 Ford Tracer driven by Norma South, Woodsfield, in the driver's side door. There was moderate damage to South's Tracer.

Feb. 6, at 5:02 p.m., a 1998 Ford Explorer driven by Viola Pasztor, Clarington, failed to stop for a red light at the intersection of SR 78 and N. Sycamore St. striking a 2003 Ford Escape driven by Danita Sherlin, Beallsville. There was disabling damage to Sherlin's Ford Escape and it had to be towed. Pasztor was cited for running a red light.

Feb. 11 at 4:05 p.m., Lorna Broemson, Lewisville, backed her 1999 Mercury Cougar out of her parking space at the Dollar General Store striking a stationary 2003 Jeep Cherokee driven by Alisha Ware, Woodsfield, causing damage to the rear of both vehicles.

Cody E. Longwell, Sardis, case dismissed at the request of the State without prejudice.
