The day of rain caused the Little Muskingum to overflow Jan. 31 and close SR 26 at the Dye dip between Low Gap and Rinard Mills. There are many places that are closed south of SR 26.
February arrived with a beautiful snow and a six degree temperature. Nemo the storm of 2013 arrived on the East coast, very interesting news to watch on TV. Just happy it was not in Monroe County.
Happy wedding anniversary Feb. 23 to friends at Brownsville, Dayle and Helen Buegel Miller. A happy Feb. 28 birthday to Norma Williams. Congratulations Norma, on being a 50 year bowling member and proving the old gal still has it for a 210 game for your birthday. Bowling years starting at Strickling Lanes and now 2013 Henthorn Lanes in Woodsfield.
The Beacon reported the death of Helen Cox Miracle Jan. 8. This is the thirteenth death of one of the Graysville Alumni since our meeting in June. Leon Cline died Feb. 6 at Hayesville. He was also a former student of Graysville school. Mark Holdren Earley died Feb. 8. Sympathy to the families.
Speedy recoveries to Joan Rouse, Joan Christman and Jean Kirkpatrick.
