The Woodsfield Post Office and Monroe County District Library have both been recipients of complaints due to the lack of availability of tax forms. Both institutions have ordered the forms, but delays at the federal level have made them unavailable locally.
Woodsfield Postmaster Dave Casteel said of what is causing the delay, “The government did not decide until January what the taxes would include, so they were late in forming and printing the books.”
Casteel also said the post office usually receives a notification a week before the forms arrive. They have yet to receive the notification, but the forms are expected to arrive sometime at the end of Feb. or beginning of March.
