Dillons Celebrate 40th Anniversary PDF Print E-mail

Mr. and Mrs. Randy Dillon Randy and Sharon Dillon celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary July 13th on the beach of the Outer Banks.  Their wedding ceremony was performed by David Marks at Belmont Ridge Christian Church where they still attend.  Sister of the bride Pam Vannest was matron of honor, and cousin of the groom Bobby Howell served as best man.

Sharon is the daughter of the late Rudy and Ruth Phillips.  She is a retired nurse from Barnesville Hospital.  

 
Harmons Celebrate 60th Anniversary PDF Print E-mail

Don and Jo Ann Harmon Don and Jo Ann Harmon, Woodsfield, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on July 28, 2014. They obtained their marriage license at a courthouse in Tellico Plains, Tennessee, then proceeded to a Baptist Church in Townsend, Tennessee. They knocked on the parsonage door and asked the pastor to marry them then spent their honeymoon in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. That's how they have led their lives; simple, honest with a Christian demeanor.

Don is the son of the late Campbell and Irene Harmon, Maryville, Tennessee. He is retired from Ormet.

Jo Ann is the daughter of the late Gus and Loche Hunt, Tellico Plains, Tennessee. She is a retired registered nurse from Barnesville Hospital.

 
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Edgington Celebrate 45 Years PDF Print E-mail

Mr. and Mrs. Jim Edgington Jim and Betty Edgington, of Graysville, will be celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary on July 6, 2014. The couple was married on July 6, 1969, in Woodsfield at the Methodist Church by Rev. Brown.

Jim is the son of the late Lee and Bertha Edgington. Betty is the daughter of the late Homer (Cotton) and Margaret Kindle.

Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Ebert Vernon and Thelma (Sue) Ebert, Beallsville, will celebrate 50 years of marriage on June 27. They were united in marriage at the United Church of Christ, German Ridge Road, Powhatan Pt. by Rev. Buehler.

Vern is the son of the late Austin and Mae Ebert and is retired from the Ormet Corporation. Thelma is the daughter of the late Carl and Elizabeth Forni.

 
Mr. and Mrs. John Cline Celebrate 50th PDF Print E-mail

John aMr. and Mrs. John Clinend Sharon Cline, 2815 SR 260, New Matamoras, OH, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on June 12.

John is the son of the late Thurman and Eleanor Gracey Cline. Sharon is the daughter of the late Donald and Alma Haught Heiney.

They were married at the First Baptist Church in New Matamoras with Rev. Paul Nye officiating in 1964.

Brent Mr. and Mrs. Brent Perkinsand Lori Perkins, 4569 SR 55, Urbana, OH will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary on July 22.

Brent is the son of Marvin and Alice Perkins, Beallsville. He is a teacher at Graham Middle School, St. Paris, OH. Lori is the daughter of Cliff and Judy Truex, Beallsville, and is a physical therapist for Madison Champaign Educational Service Center.

 
Truexes Celebrate Golden Wedding Anniversary PDF Print E-mail

Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Truex Cliff and Judy Truex, 52440 East Dr., Beallsville, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on May 31.

Cliff is the son of the late Vernon and Wanda Truex, and is retired from Ormet. Judy is the daughter of the late Frederick (Fiddle) and Ruth Stoehr of Woodsfield. They were married at the Woodsfield Church of Christ in 1964 by the late John Hamilton, minister.

They have been blessed with two children; a son, Bryan (Julie) Truex of Plano, TX, and a daughter , Lori (Brent) Perkins of Urbana, OH. Six grandchildren complete the family circle, Chelsey Morgan, Galloway, Reagan, Cheney, and Haley Truex, and Andrew and Jonah Perkins. 

 
Browns Celebrate 70 Year Anniversary PDF Print E-mail

 

Mr. and Mrs. Roger Brown-2014 Roger A. and Helen (Cronin) Brown are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary.  They were married at St. John’s Methodist Church in Augusta, Georgia on June 5, 1944.  They have two children, Darla (Paul) Reich and Roger (Anna) Brown; two grandchildren, Kori (Scott) Markle and Kirk (Wendy) Reich; three great-grandchildren, Rylie and Lincoln Markle, and Graham Reich.  

They celebrated with an Open House on May 24 in Westerville, Ohio, with family and friends.

Roger served in the United States 10th Armored Division during World War II. He retired from Westinghouse and Rockwell.  Helen retired from J.C. Penney.  They grew up together in Woodsfield, Ohio.

 
Groves Celebrate 50th Anniversary PDF Print E-mail

Mr. and Mrs. Wade Groves We would like to congratulate our parents, Wade and Donna Groves, on their 50th wedding anniversary on April 18. Wade and Donna were united in marriage by the late John Hamilton.

Wade and Donna are the parents of Rick (Veronica) Groves and Angie (John) Hupp. The couple’s family were made complete with the addition of four grandsons, Wyatt and Ethan Groves and Johnny and Gunner Hupp, who keep them very busy with fishing, hunting and ball games.

Wade has made a living working very hard in the timber business and for 10 years in the oil field. Donna was a stay-at-home mom until she began work at Woodsfield Nursing and Rehab Center where she recently retired after 29 years of service.

 
Whitacres Celebrate 60th Wedding Anniversary PDF Print E-mail

Mr. and Mrs. Foster Whitacre Foster and Wilma Whitacre are celebrating 60 years of marriage.  Please join them Saturday, April 26 between 1-4 p.m. at the Graysville School Building.

They are requesting their guests bring no gifts; simply come and visit them.  If you would like to make a donation in their name, they suggest Bethel-Graysville E-squad or the Monroe County Dog Pound.
