The Beallsville Blue Devils baseball team began their week in dramatic fashion with an extra-inning win against Bridgeport. Beallsville led by a score of 2-0 entering the seventh. Bridgeport scored three runs in the top of the seventh to go ahead. In the bottom of the seventh, Beallsville was able to match the score at 3-3 to take it into extra innings.
After a scoreless eighth, Bridgeport started the ninth with a run to lead 4-3. With their backs up against the wall again, Beallsville scored two in the bottom of the ninth to earn the walk-off victory.
Despite the extra-inning affair, Logan Nippert pitched a complete game to gain the victory. Dalton Secrest and John Dietrich led the Blue Devils at the plate with an RBI each.

The Beallsville Blue Devils varsity baseball team lost in a game shortened to six innings due to a 10-run rule on April 23. Foe Bridgeport was able to best the Blue Devils by a final score of 15-5.
Beallsville fell behind early. They went ahead 2-0 in the top of the first but then allowed 9 runs in the bottom of the first.After going ahead 13-5 after three innings, Bridgeport scored a run in the bottom of the fifth and sixth innings to gain the mercy rule win.

The Beallsville Blue Devils varsity baseball team began their week with a hard loss against Monroe Central on the road on April 15. Beallsville was bested by Monroe Central ace Kordell Antill in an 8-2 loss. Logan Nippert, who also was the starting pitcher, was responsiblefor both Beallsville runs as he had a double, single and two RBIs.
Beallsville then continued their week in a hard-fought loss to Cameron on the road on April 16. After falling behind 5-1 after four innings, Beallsville came alive. The Blue Devils scored two in the top of the fifth and two in the top of the seventh to tie the game up at 5-5. However, Cameron pulled out eighth inning heroics to win 7-6.
The baseball team’s hard-luck week continued on April 17 as they played a third straight game on the road. The Blue Devils fell to Bishop Donahue by a final score of 11-7.
The Blue Devils exploded for all seven of their runs in the fourth inning. However, they were shut-out in every other inning. Beallsville’s uneven play led to the loss as Bishop Donahue scored seven runs of their own over the last three innings to pull out the victory.
The Beallsville Blue Devils softball team got some retribution for the baseball team’s earlier loss to Monroe Central by defeating the Lady Seminoles 6-5 at home on April 18. The offensive game came slow for each team as Monroe Central led by a score of 1-0 after four innings.

In baseball action on April 9, the Beallsville Blue Devils fell in a close one to the Shenandoah Zeps. The score was even at 3-3 going into the seventh and final inning. However, Shenandoah scored in the top half of the inning to take the lead at 4-3. Beallsville was unable to answer in the bottom of the seventh.
Ricky Tubaugh pitched a solid game in the loss with five strikeouts. Tubaugh also starred at the plate with a single and RBI. Dalton Secrest led the team with two RBIs.
The softball team faced Shadyside on April 9. They lost in blow-out fashion by a final score of 14-0. Beallsville was only able to muster one hit in the loss.
The baseball team was back in action on April 10 losing to Bishop Donahue by a score of 9-0. Beallsville was held to only two hits. Ricky Tubaugh was able to slam a triple in the loss.

The Beallsville Blue Devils softball team ran into a juggernaut in the form of Bellaire in a doubleheader on April 1. Beallsville fell by a large margin in both games: 12-1 in the first game and 12-2 in the second. The Lady Blue Devils managed only two hits in the first game and five in the second.
The varsity baseball team fared better in their April 3 match-up against Frontier. Ricky Tubaugh led the team with three RBIs to go with two singles. Dalton Secrest had a two RBI double in the sixth inning in which Beallsville mounted a comeback. Also helping in the winning effort was Chad Louden who had two singles and one RBI.
The Beallsville boys and girls track teams both lost to Shadyside in an Ohio Valley Track League meet on April 3.
