The Monroe County Chapter of the AARP will meet May 30 at 1:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Woodsfield for their regular monthly meeting.
Woodsfield Chapter #268 Order of Eastern Star will meet May 17 at 7:30 p.m. This will be the Annual Inspection of Officers and the Inspecting Officer will be Carol Warsinskey, Deputy Grand Matron. All members are asked to bring a covered dish for refreshments following the meeting. Tyra Edgel WM and David Edgel WP presiding.
Auditions for parts in the one-act plays “Winnie-the-Pooh” and “The Glass Slipper” will be held May 27 and 28 from 6-8 p.m. at The Pointe Opportunity Center behind Beginning Pointe Church on SR 78 in Woodsfield. Contact Brittany McConaughy at 740-213-4294.
The Regional Advisory Council for the Area Agency on Aging will meet on May 31 at 10:00 a.m. at The Comfort Inn, 700 Pike St., Marietta.
The Monroe County CIC will hold a regular session May 20 at 4:30 p.m. in the CIC office located in the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce Office, 117 N. Main St., Woodsfield (in the old Monroe Bank building).
The Mental Health and Recovery Board will hold its regular meeting May 21 at 6:00 p.m. at the Board Office, 99 N. Sugar St., St. Clairsville.
Ladies of the Graysville VFW will meet May 20 at 7 p.m. at the firehouse.
The Monroe County Suicide Prevention Coalition will meet May 16 at 4:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, S. Main St., Woodsfield. The meeting is open to the public.

The New Matamoras Library will host its annual “Quilt and Craft Show” on May 13 at 10:00 a.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring their quilts, crafts, paintings and other creations and share them with their fellow artisans. This is an audience-participation program-everyone is encouraged to share stories, memories, hints and tips!
Please note: this program will be held at Grace Community Church located across the street from the library.

U.S.W.A. 5760 Conalco and Ormet Retirees will meet every 3rd Tuesday each month at 10:00 a.m. at 5724 Union Hall, Clarington. This month, the man we had last month will have more details on the retirement and hospital for our future. Bring a covered dish.
Bethel VFD Ladies will meet May 14 at 6:00 p.m. at the Bethel Community Center.

Monroe Water Systems Board of Trustees will hold its regular monthly meeting on May 9 at 4:00 p.m. at the Laings Community Center Office.

Monroe County Board of Health will hold its regular monthly meeting May 10 at 3:30 p.m. at the Monroe County Health Department, 118 Home Ave., Woodsfield.
St. John’s Cemetery Association will hold its annual meeting May 5 at 1:00 p.m. at St. John’s Cemetery Chapel on CR 43.
The 70th Annual Alumni Banquest will be held at the Lewisville Community Center (Lewisville H.S.) on May 18 at 6:30 p.m. Doors will open at 4:00 p.m. There will be an all you can eat buffet served.
