Making sure there’s a merry Christmas

The Shop with a Cop event, coordinated by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, helped buy Christmas presents for 50 area children. With the help of area donors, more than $10,000 was raised, allowing officers to take the children to Wal-Mart in New Martinsville, West Virginia Dec. 8 to find their Christmas items.

Delivering an extra special Christmas

Monroe County Job and Family Services teamed up with the Noble Correctional Institution (NCI) to make sure Monroe County’s foster children aren’t forgotten at Christmas.
