ESTHER EDINGTON

 Esther Lucille Edington was born on November 14, 1933, to Eulah and Charles F. Jeffers in Woodsfield, Ohio, and left this earth on May 1, 2025. Much of Esther’s life centered around First United Methodist Church in Woodsfield, starting in 1942. She was confirmed in 1945. It was there on July 11, 1953, that she married her lifelong love and best friend Bob Edington. And through the years she taught Sunday school and volunteered.
 After high school graduation, Esther worked for Eagle Rubber in Ashland and later moved to Amarillo, Texas, after marrying Bob. Throughout her life, Esther enjoyed being a part of the local homemakers’ club, was active in county 4-H programs, sold Avon products, and was a loyal and dependable volunteer for the American Heart Association.
 For many years, Esther nurtured her creativity by volunteering at Oglebay Park to make decorations for the Resort’s Christmas season.
 In addition to her parents, Esther is preceded in death by her husband Robert Edward Edington and her sisters Martha and Lottie Eva. She is survived by her children Robert (Dori) and Kristina, grandsons Kyle (Jess), Travis (Sarah) and Jacob and great-grandchildren Ellie, Erin and Andrew.
 The family requests that friends kindly consider making a donation to the American Heart Association.
 Friends will be received from 10:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday May 7, 2025, at Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St., Woodsfield, with Rev. David Cottrell officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield.
