Dean B. Ring, 95, of Canton passed away Friday, October 3, 2025. He was born February 7, 1930, in Graysville, Ohio, the son of the late Ray A. and Grethel (Hill) Ring. He was a 1948 graduate of Graysville High School. He was employed with Sugardale Foods for 43 years before retiring in 1992. Dean was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion Post #44. Dean was an avid Cleveland, Canton McKinley and Ohio State sports fan. He coached youth baseball. He had a love for animals. Dean was a simple man that was a very dedicated husband and father, always making family his first priority.
On July 24, 1952, Dean married Helen J. (Rinard) Ring who preceded him in death in 2022. Survivors include children, Greg (Julie) Ring, Perry (Denise) Ring, and Patricia (Pete) Kantzos; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; his sister, Charlene McConnell; along with a nephew.
Funeral services were held at Reed Funeral Home NORTH CANTON Chapel on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Rusty Richards officiating. Friends visited with the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial followed at Henry Warstler Cemetery.
