You are hereby notified that you have been named as a Defendant in a legal action entitled Moore Family Trust dated July 11, 2018 v. J.M. Jeffers, his unknown heirs, devisees, executors, administrators, relicts, next of kin, and assigns, et. al. This action has been assigned Case No. CV 2021-205 and is pending in the Court of Common Pleas of Monroe County, Ohio before Honorable Judge Julie R. Selmon.

The object of the Complaint is to quiet title and extinguish the Defendants’ oil and gas rights, if any, in all or part of Monroe Auditor’s Parcel No. 24-010011.0000, located in Sunsbury Township, Monroe County, Ohio: A complete description of the above listed parcel can be found in the Complaint.

You are hereby required to answer the Complaint within 28 days after the last publication of this Notice, which will be published once each week for six (6) successive weeks. The last publication will be mad on December 9, 2021, and the 28 days for an answer by you will commence on that date. You must file an answer to the Complaint with the Monroe County Clerk of the Monroe County Common Pleas Court, Monroe County Courthouse, 101 N. Main St. Room 26, Woodsfield, Ohio 43793, and serve a copy on Craig J. Wilson, C.J. Wilson Law, LLC, PO Box 2879, Westerville, OH 43086.

In case of your failure to answer or otherwise respond as required by the Oho Rules of Civil Procedure, judgment by default will be rendered against you for the relief demanded in the Complaint.

Request for 

Qualifications

for Architect/Engineer 

Services

The Monroe Arts Council is interested in acquiring the services of an architect/engineer firm to provide the necessary engineering, design, specifications, and construction inspection services needed for completion of the project known as Monroe Theatre Second Floor Mezzanine Construction. Said firm will also be required to coordinate plans with the Southeastern Ohio Building Department in Marietta, Ohio and assist the Owner in applying for and receiving the necessary building permits. The Monroe Theatre is eligible for the National Register of Historic Places, and therefore all work must maintain the historic integrity of the building. The project has a construction completion date of December 31, 2023.

All proposals will be evaluated in terms of experience, performance, and capacity. The types of experiences desired are: (1) experience in designing improvements/renovations for buildings eligible for the National Register of Historic Places; (2) experience with job site inspections/checking contractor’s work; and (3) experience with competitive sealed bid procurement. Performance will be assessed in terms of timeliness, completing work within budget, and quality of work. Capacity will be experience and staff time availability. The County will begin negotiations with the respondent obtaining the highest total score in the evaluation process.
