The Monroe Arts Council is interested in acquiring the services of an architect/engineer firm to provide the necessary engineering, design, specifications, and construction inspection services needed for completion of the project known as Monroe Theatre Second Floor Mezzanine Construction. Said firm will also be required to coordinate plans with the Southeastern Ohio Building Department in Marietta, Ohio and assist the Owner in applying for and receiving the necessary building permits. The Monroe Theatre is eligible for the National Register of Historic Places, and therefore all work must maintain the historic integrity of the building. All proposals will be evaluated in terms of experience, performance, and capacity. The types of experiences desired are: (1) experience in designing improvements/renovations for buildings eligible for the National Register of Historic Places; (2) experience with job site inspections/checking contractor’s work; and (3) experience with competitive sealed bid procurement. Performance will be assessed in terms of timeliness, completing work within budget, and quality of work. Capacity will be experience and staff time availability. The County will begin negotiations with the respondent obtaining the highest total score in the evaluation process.
Interested parties are invited to secure a Request for Qualifications package from M.J. Westfall by emailing westfall.23@osu.edu.
