Sealed bids will be received by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Ohio, at the Office of the County Commissioners, 101 N. Main Street Room 34, Woodsfield, Ohio until 10:30 a.m., Prevailing Local Time on the 14th day of February, 2022 for the purchase of various sizes aggregates which may be required by the Monroe County Highway Department for the period from March 1, 2022 to March 1, 2023.
Bids shall be filed on the proposal form furnished by the County and may be obtained from the County Engineer’s Office at 47134 Moore Ridge Road, Woodsfield, Ohio 43793, during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., or online at www.monroecountyohio.com under the Engineers page. The bidder may, at his option, quote only on the aggregate and size as he may desire to furnish or deliver.
Bids shall be filed in the Office of the Monroe County Commissioners, 101 N. Main Street Room 34, Woodsfield, Ohio, in sealed envelopes, plainly marked “2022 AGGREGATE BID” on or before the time specified.
The Board of Commissioners reserve the right to waive any informalities or technicalities, to reject any or all bids, and to award purchase order contract(s) on an item by item basis as deemed to be in the best interest of Monroe County. The bid shall be awarded by the County to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder in accordance with Revised Code Section 9.312.

Sealed proposals for the Monroe Theatre Roof Replacement and Repairs project will be received by the Monroe County Commissioners at their office, 101 North Main Street, Room 34, Woodsfield, OH 43793 until 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 14, 2022 and then at said time at said office opened and read aloud.
Plans, specifications, and bid forms may be secured by contacting M.J. Westfall, OSU Extension, via email at westfall.23@osu.edu.
Each bid must be accompanied by either a bid bond in an amount of 10% of the bid amount with a surety satisfactory to the aforesaid Monroe County Commissioners or by certified check, cashier’s check, or letter of credit upon a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 10% of the bid amount in favor of the aforesaid Monroe County Commissioners. A combination bid/performance/payment bond (contract bond) for 100% of the bid amount is acceptable and must conform to Ohio Revised Code Section 153.57.

Sealed proposals for the Tennis Court Improvements project will be received by the Monroe County Commissioners at their office, 101 North Main Street, Room 34, Woodsfield, OH 43793 until 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 and then at said time at said office opened and read aloud.
This project will seal and paint the lines on the tennis courts in the Village of Woodsfield. Plans, specifications, and bid forms may be secured by contacting M.J. Westfall, OSU Extension, at westfall.23@osu.edu. This project must be completed by August 31, 2022.
Each bid must be accompanied by either a bid bond in an amount of 10% of the bid amount with a surety satisfactory to the aforesaid Monroe County Commissioners or by certified check, cashier’s check, or letter of credit upon a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 10% of the bid amount in favor of the aforesaid Monroe County Commissioners. Bid bonds shall be accompanied by Proof of Authority of the official or agent signing the bond. The Work includes renovation of the existing break room for a new kitchen in the former Safe Auto building. Construction of a new storage area. Installation of new sanitary, plumbing and electric for proposed kitchen equipment.

Bidders must comply with the State prevailing wage rates.
The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any and all bids. If bids are 10% over the estimated project cost, the Owner will have the option to be rebid the project.
