Sharon Ann Ritchie, 78, of New Matamoras, passed away Thursday, Oct. 13, 2022 at WVU Camden Clark Medical Center Parkersburg, West Virginia.

She was born in Brownsville, Dec. 22, 1943, a daughter of the late Raymond and Anna Bonam Hensel.

She was a member of the Newport Church of Christ, and had worked at Riesbeck’s in the deli and the New Frontier Restaurant. She was also a loving caregiver to her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Ritchie in 2016; and one brother, Lewis Dean Hensel.

She is survived by her son, and daughter-in-law, Brad and Lisa Ritchie, of Parkersburg, West Virginia; brother, Neal (Barbara) Hensel, of Brownsville; and three grandchildren, Caleb Matthew Ritchie, Cayleigh Raechelle Ritchie and Cameron Nikolas Ritchie.

Friends were received Monday, Oct. 17, 2022, at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul St., Woodsfield, where funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2022, with Lloyd Westbrook officiating.

Burial followed in Mehrley Cemetery near Fly.
