Daniel W. “Dan” Watkins, 73, of Woodsfield, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2022, at his home.

He was born at Grafton, West Virginia on June 7, 1949, a son of the late Warren Gene and Dorothy Paugh Watkins.

Dan was a retired supervisor for the Bayer Corporation, New Martinsville, West Virginia, and was a member of the Woodsfield church of Christ, Woodsfield.

Dan is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dawn (Minges) Watkins, whom he married on Dec. 5, 1970; two daughters, April (Clint) Kissner, of Alma, West Virginia, Danielle (Kevin) Warner, of Woodsfield; one son, Kurt (Jacqueline) Watkins, of New Martinsville, West Virginia; one sister, Gloria Abell, of Jacksonville, Florida; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

At the request of the family, there will be no visitation. A cremation will take place and an inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family at the Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield.

The family requests that they be kept in your prayers and at this time they wish to not have cards or flowers sent.
