Dwight Brannon, 76, of Woodsfield, passed away Friday, Feb. 24, 2023 at his home.

He was born at Coalgood, Kentucky on Feb. 20, 1947, a son of the late Dink and Elsie Shell Brannon.

Dwight was a former employee of the Ormet Corporation, Hannibal, and a retired owner of Brannon’s Heating and Cooling, Woodsfield. He was also a former U.S. Army Reservist.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Virgil Brannon.

Surviving are his wife, Jo Ann Brooks Brannon, whom he married on Jan. 14 1967; one daughter, Lori (Andy) Ring, of Beverly; one son, Doug Brannon, of Woodsfield; two sisters, Clara Carmichael, of Tennessee, and Retha (Frosty) Cunningham, of South Carolina; three brothers, Roy (Sharon) Brannon, of Woodsfield, Gale Brannon, of Alabama, and Tom Brannon, of Tennessee; three granddaughters; and six great-grandchildren.

There will be no visitation. Following cremation, inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family at Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield.
