A Love Story Reunited… On Monday, March 20, 2023, Deborah Jeanne Mellott, age 67, of Clarington, was greeted in the arms of her late husband, Thomas “Tom” Mellott, who devoted their lives to one another.
She was an admirable woman who held her character and values in the highest regard, instilling integrity and nurture into the lives of her daughters. Not only was she a proud wife and mother, but she was an extraordinary “My Yam” to her two grandsons.
She was a 1974 graduate of River High School and dedicated her professional career to being a direct and compassionate registered home health nurse. She provided comfort and diligent care to all she served.
On July 10, 1976, she married her ornery, hardworking rebel and together they built an everlasting love – creating a legacy of two stubborn, well driven daughters, Megan and Abby, gained two remarkable son-in-laws, Ricky and Bobby and welcomed two beloved grandsons, Zane and Ian, who she loved to spoil with cuddles and “occasional” donuts and ice cream. She loved her grandpups, (late) Scout, Duke, (late) Oliver, Greta, Douglas, Murray and family dog (late) Bandit.
A woman of faith, born Feb. 8, 1956, to the late Robert Howell and the late Ada Mae Lude Howell, of Clarington; a sister to Linda (Late Arthur) Lude, Jennifer (Ron) Rothenbuhler, Susan (John) Heslep, Carol (Mike) Farrell and two late brothers, David and Dwayne; a beloved aunt to many, and a cherished friend to all. She was an idol and an unforgettable force.
