Belva L. Wickes, age 90, of Hannibal, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023, at The Arbors at Woodsfield. 

She was born Nov. 10, 1932, in Duffy, the daughter of the late Raymond J. and Laura Harmon Hoskins.

Belva was a member of the Duffy Church of God; enjoyed gardening; and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jean M. Wickes; eight siblings, Lee Hoskins, Gerald Hoskins, Ann Zessin, Elsie Mahurin, Raymond Hoskins, Jr., Doug Hoskins, Irene Hoskins and Floyd Hoskins.

Survivors include a son, Bryan Wickes, of Hannibal; two daughters, Lori (Hylan) Smith, of West Blocton, Alabama, Myra (Mark Repco) Wickes, of Clarington; one sister, Deloris Mahurin, of Indiana; four grandchildren, Kyle Smith, of California, Autumn Smith, of California, LeAndra (Mason Nice) Potts, of Reader, LaRinda (Dave Riggenbach) Wickes, of Sardis; two great-grandchildren, Finn and Ronan; and many nieces and nephews. 

The family received friends Sunday, June 11, 2023, at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 125 Clarinda Drive, Clarington, where services were held Monday, June 12, 2023, with Eddie Ankrom officiating.

Interment followed in Emma Grove Cemetery, Hannibal. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Church of God of Duffy, 38377 SR 7, Sardis, OH 43946, American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.
