Faye Ann Schoonover, 75, of Sardis, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.  

Faye was born in New Martinsville, West Virginia, on Oct. 11, 1947, daughter of the late Charles Curtis Loy and Elda (Winland) Loy Ritchie.  

She was a devoted wife for 60 years, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed caring for her cats, exploring flea markets and listening to her granddaughter sing and play music.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, David, Donald “Donnie” and Roger Loy.  

Surviving is her husband, Ross Schoonover; two sons, Mike (Cathy) Schoonover and Ronnie (Tammy Minor) Schoonover; granddaughter, Jessica Schoonover; and brother, Charles Scott Loy.  

Friends will be received from noon until time of service at 2 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023, at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, West Virginia, with Rick Tincher officiating. Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery.
