Roy E. Longwell, 62, of Powhatan Point, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at WVU Reynolds Memorial Hospital. He was born in Wheeling, W.V. September 17, 1961, a son of Helen Whittington Longwell and the late Jack Richard Longwell Sr.
 Roy had worked for HLC Trucking in Shadyside, Ohio for 25 years. He was a member of the Woodsfield Eagles and the Powhatan Point VFW.
 In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother Jack Longwell Jr.
 In addition to his mother Helen Longwell, he is survived by his wife Gaye Longwell of Powhatan Point, children: Brandyce Norman, Tessya (Edward) Mason, Jessica (Harold) Whitmire, Roy Lee Longwell, Troy (Bree) Longwell, stepchildren; Justin (Tiffany) Southard and Crista, and VJ Wilson, brother Robert Longwell, sisters: Patty (Clifford) Howell, and Bertha (Tony) Hurte, 15 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
 Friends received from 4 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2023, at Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul St., Woodsfield, Ohio with Guy Norris officiating. Interment at the convenience of the family.
