Robert “Bob” L. Hines, 77, of Lewisville, Ohio, passed away Friday, December 22, 2023, at Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta, Ohio.
 He was born near Stafford, Ohio, on October 1, 1946, a son of the late Heber and Marjorie McConnell Hines.
 He was a self-employed dairy farmer and oil producer and formerly served on the County ASC Committee for over 20 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Era and a Protestant by faith.
 Bob enjoyed basketball, playing pickleball, farming, riding anything with four wheels.
 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a twin daughter Melinda Ann Hines and a brother Gerald Hines, a daughter-in-law Christine M. Hines.
 Surviving are his wife Joyce Hercher Hines whom he married on October 22, 1965; one son, Michael (Rita) Hines of Tallmadge, Ohio; one daughter, Julie (Daniel) “DJ” Haines of Hilliard, Ohio; three brothers, Bernard “Bud” (Virginia) Hines of Marietta, Ralph (Sandra) Hines of Reno, Ohio, Myron (Anne) Hines of Celina, Ohio; five grandchildren, Heather and Renee Hines, Haley Haines, Dylan and Justin Haines; four step-grandchildren and their families, Nathan (Rebecca) Mugford and their children, Katelyn, Brayden, Jack and Claire; Jacob (Terri Lynn) Mugford and their children, Mackenzie and Logan; Michael (Amanda) Mugford and their children, Audrey, Aaron, Elijah, Lincoln and Jameson; Adam Mugford; several nieces and nephews.
 Friends will be received at Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 1 p.m. until time of memorial services and military services at 2 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2023, with Dr. Kurt W. Busiek officiating.
 Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family at Hercher Family Cemetery, Sycamore Valley, Ohio.
