Billy “Bill” G. Yoho, 92, of Woodsfield, Ohio, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024. He was born June 11, 1931, son of late Everett and Martha (Reeves) Yoho.
A graduate of Woodsfield High School and member of coach LaCroix’s 49 Regional Final Basketball Team. He retired after 38 years from Rolling Hills Landmark.
Bill enjoyed rabbit hunting with friends and listening to his prized beagles. An avid sports fan of WHS Redskins, Noles, Browns and Buckeyes. His Little League baseball teams won numerous tournaments around the valley, known for arriving in the infamous yellow van. He loved watching “Little” Bre and Tyler play basketball at Marietta High School and Rio Grande College. He kept track of Cameron and his baseball success from afar. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church and later attended Moffett Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years Shirley (Turner) Yoho, sister Geraldine Harmon, twin brother Bob and younger brother Jack.
Bill is survived by son Brian (Terrie) Yoho, Collierville, Tenn., daughter Angie (Ronnie) Davis, Marietta, Ohio, grandchildren Cameron (Caley) Yoho, Collierville, Carly (Trace) Vollmer, Nashville, Tenn., Brianna (Elizabeth) Newman, Marysville, Ohio, Tyler and fiancé Kayla Briley, Jacksonville, Fla., great-granddaughter Finley Newman, brother Richard (Marsha) Yoho and sister LaDonna Huntsman and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 5 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 7 at Bauer- Turner Funeral Home, Woodsfield where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 8, 2024, with Pastor Bill Abrams officiating. Burial will follow in Moffett Cemetery near Woodsfield.
