CHARLES L. TOMLIN

Charles L. Tomlin, 72, of Woodsfield, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, West Virginia, of liver failure with his family by his side.

He was born in New Martinsville, West Virginia, Oct. 19, 1947, a son of the late Charles Lipscomb and the late Hazel Wilson Tomlin and Tommy Tomlin.

He graduated from Beallsville High School, where he excelled in athletics, and retired from the Ormet Corporation Hannibal, after 38 years of service. He was a member of Laings Church of Christ and Switzerland of Ohio Golf Club until his health prevented his playing the game he loved. He was also formerly a member of American Bowling Congress and Board of Monroe Water Systems.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Glenda Tomlin.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Starr Tomlin, whom he married Aug. 10, 1968; children, Brian Tomlin, of Woodsfield, Scott (Ann) Tomlin, of Woodsfield, and Traci (Rick) Alleman, of Sardis, grandchildren; Tyler Alleman and Bret, Heidi, Coleman, Kaden and Addason Tomlin; and siblings: Jayne Circosta, Cathy Hill, Jerry Tomlin, Vicki Williams, Lynn Arnett and Tommy Tomlin Jr. Friends were received Friday, July 3, 2020, until time of funeral service at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, Woodsfield.
