Ruth L. (Bonnie) Krieg, 80, of New Matamoras, Ohio passed away Tuesday May 14, 2024 at Wheeling Hospital peacefully into the arms of her Savior surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 14, 1943 in Monroe County the daughter of the late Clarence and Bessie Beaver Minger.
On August 18, 1959 she married the love of her life, Emerson Krieg, and they were looking forward to celebrating 65 years of marriage.
Bonnie was a talented musician who served as a church pianist at the Gravel Hill Baptist Church for over 50 years. She also enjoyed traveling and sharing her musical abilities singing and playing piano for the gospel quartet, The United Harmonizers. They saw many souls come to Christ during their ministry years. She also enjoyed working at Monroe Manufacturing in quality control.
Bonnie was a devoted loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed being home and taking care of her family, which included always having sweet treats and lots of good food in the kitchen. She was an excellent cook and homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Curtis Minger.
She is survived by her husband Emerson Krieg, sons Bryan (Karen) Krieg of Zanesville, Ohio and Brent (Pam) Krieg of Fly, Ohio, sisters Beverly Williamson of Sistersville, WV and Phyllis Lucille Tuel of Mount Vernon, Ohio, grandchildren Brandon, Breanna, Kyle and Tanner and great grandchildren Rachel and Ryker.
Friends received from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2024, at Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St., Woodsfield, Ohio. Funeral Service at 1 p.m. Saturday May 18, 2024 at the Gravel Hill Baptist Church Fly, Ohio with Pastor Dave Michael officiating. Burial followed at Mehrley Cemetery, Fly, Ohio.
