Elsie Ileene Valentine 96, of New Matamoras, Ohio, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Selby General Hospital in Marietta, Ohio. She was born July 3, 1927, in Rinard Mills, Monroe County, Ohio, to the late Earl and Goldie Cline Ring. Ileene graduated from Graysville High School in 1947. She is survived by her three sons Gary E. (Debbie) of Malta, Ohio, Paul D. (Garland) of Newport, Ohio, and Donald R. Valentine (Robin) of New Matamoras, two daughters Betty Martin (Larrey) of Dart, Ohio, and Brenda M. Davis (Gary) of New Matamoras, seven granddaughters, seven grandsons, 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Walter Burnett Valentine, a sister Nina Beryl Johnson and a brother Boyd Ring. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 3, 2024, at Hadley Funeral Home, 700 Main St. New Matamoras with David Beaver officiating, Visitation will be held from 9 – 11 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
