Adelia “Dee” A. Covert, 87, of Barnesville, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Barnesville Hospital. She was born in Beaver Township in Noble County on April 7, 1936, to the late William Earl and Bessie Lenora Carpenter.
She loved to crochet and her favorite color was purple.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband George E. Kinney; second husband, Gilbert J Covert; two daughters, Sandy Gromley and Sue Carpenter; grandchildren, Scott Carpenter, Derrick Valentine, and Nary Dondzilla; brothers, Emerson Carpenter, Wilford Carpenter, Joseph Carpenter, Donnie Carpenter, and Richard Carpenter.
Dee is survived by her sons, Ivan Carpenter, Scott Kinney, and Donald Covert; daughters, Diana Valentine, Roxanne Blackburn, Donna Chase; sisters, Carolyn Milhoan and Bonnie Kirkbride; brother, Frank Carpenter; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, from 12 p.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jack Palmer officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville. Burial will follow at Batesville Cemetery.
The family requests that anyone attending services, please wear something purple as it was Dee’s favorite color.
