Bernice L. Jones, 87, of Sardis, Ohio, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025, at WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital Wheeling, W.V.
 She was born on August 13, 1937, in Sardis, the daughter of the late Earnest Eugene and Helen Hartman Raper.
 Bernice was a dedicated homemaker and active member of Mt. Olive Church. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren and took pleasure in watching birds.
 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Darrell N. Jones; sisters, Wanda Burns and Joyce Raper; and son-in-law Jeff Potts.
 Survivors include her son, Kent Jones of Sardis; daughter, Stacey Jones Potts of Sardis; four grandchildren; Derek Potts and Chad Potts, both of Sardis, Broc (Kelcey) Jones of St. Clairsville, Ohio, and Bryce (Hope) Jones of Morgantown, W.V.; daughter-in-law, Misty Jones of Sardis; two brothers, Raymond (Sandra) Raper of Sardis, and Donald (Pat) Raper of Cameron, Ohio; three great-grandchildren, Aiden Potts, Palmer Jones and Winslie Jones.
 Family will receive friends on Monday, July 7, 2025, from 12 – 1 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 751 Third Street, New Martinsville, W.V., with private funeral services to follow with Rev Lou Verdi officiating.
 Interment following at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Sardis.  Memorial contributions may be made to Mount Olive Church, c/o 37267 Fifth Ave, Sardis, OH 43946.
