Ah, it’s that time of year again. The roads are lined with wonderful color and splendor, of reds and blues and greens and yellows. No, I’m not talking about decorations for the holidays. I’m talking about campaign signs.
I might as well tell everyone since the word is starting to get out... My last day at the Beacon will be Sept. 30. I am moving on to a marketing position. I’ll still be local, so many of you will still see me around I’m sure.
Can everyone believe that football is in full swing now? High school football is in week three already, college football has started, and the NFL even starts this Thursday. At the local level, it looks as though the River Pilots may have a good season. The Blue Devils and Seminoles look like they need to build some experience.
Well, the Summer Olympics have come and gone. Although I think I came across as pretty negative a couple of weeks ago, I will miss watching them.
