Conservation Corner

January is a much-anticipated month in the Monroe SWCD office. January is the month that we release our annual tree and seed sale flyer. The sale is one of my favorite ways that we work with Monroe County residents to improve the quality of wildlife habitat. We are excited to be expanding options on food plot seed mixes this year.

A Second Look

There will be a square dance at the Legion Hall Thursday evening, sponsored by the Monroe County Dance Club. Music will be furnished by Helen Klotz and her accordion, and the public is invited.

Letters to the Editor

Dear Editor, After our first day at Safe Auto, we know how sardines feel. We are not able keep a safe distance, for there is no room. The staff does their best with what they have to work with. It makes a lot of extra work for the cooks to serve our food to us. They could push a cart at the Senior Center but can’t at the Safe Auto building.

Monroe Theatre News

The year 2022 with all its events and accomplishments at the Monroe Theatre is being packed away to make room for 2023’s future, which will include the beginning of another grant-funded, large-scale building project.
