As everyone knows, Christmas Eve and Christmas were, I believe the coldest that I can remember. Many people stayed at home, and many are still trying to get together to celebrate their Christmas festivities. This gave us some time to reflect on the real meaning of Christmas and why we celebrate.

Dear Editor, Today is Dec. 30, 2022 and our last day at our Senior Center. Next week, the staff will be moving us to the Safe Auto building, where we do not want to go. But the commissioners say they know where we should be. Instead of us being in town where we have been for so many years, to in the country!!!!

On May 2009, I, along with my photographer, Margaret Ross, toured the Ohio Valley Coal Company, Powhatan Number 6 Mine. It had been 27 years since I last walked underground. Almost 37 years ago, I began my nine years as a coal miner in this very mine.
