Nature hike and more Saturday at Piatt Park

It’s going to be more than just a nature hike when the Monroe County Park District teams up with the Mental Health and Recovery Board of Belmont, Harrison and Monroe Counties Saturday, May 18 at Piatt Park.The Mental Health and Recovery Board will once again hold its annual “Walk a Mental Health Mile” starting at 9 a.m., but there will be a lot more happening at Piatt Park.Nature walks will continue after the mile, with naturalist-led hikes being offered until noon.In addition, the Oglebay Good Zoo will stop by with its animal experience at 11 a.m.The public is invited to come to scenic Piatt Park off State Route 78 east of Woodsfield to support Mental Health Awareness Month and the county’s beauty.Free coffee and donuts will be provided.
