Local historian Joyce Wiggins recently gave an interesting talk on the Norman Rockwell painting, “Freedom From Want.”According to Wiggins, the painting was part of a series done by Rockwell to inspire Americans to support the war effort during World War II.You can join the area seniors for future presentations.

A local man’s long-time dream came true as he competed in the 2023 World Horseshoe Tournament in Lansing, Michigan alongside several members of his family.Meredith Kahrig, a recent inductee of the Ohio Horseshoe Pitchers Association Hall of Fame, competed in the tournament with seven of his family members, his sons Tod, Troy and Travis; his son-in-law Tim; brother, Wilfred; grandson, Gavin; and grandson’s wife, Stephanie.
