Beallsville Girl Scout Troop 51007 would like to thank all the people who contributed to their recent community service project. They collected donations for all the soldiers deployed in Latvia in Battery B, 2nd Battalion, 174th Air Defense Regiment out of McConnelsville. With the support of the community, they were able to collect 24 boxes of supplies, which have been sent and delivered. With the generous $500 donation made by the Monroe VFW Post 5303 in Woodsfield, the cost of postage was completely covered. The community service project is especially important to the girls in this troop, as the father of one of the girls is a member of this regiment.

Monroe County Senior Services recently held a Valentine’s Day party and crowned their King and Queen by popular vote.
