The 8-hour Woodsfield Run for Kids benefiting numerous Children’s Hospitals will return to Woodsfield for one final run on Saturday, Sept. 24.
Aug. 16, 5:15 p.m. Paul F. Hoke, of Beallsville, was traveling west on State Route 145 in Malaga Township in a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer when he made a left-hand turn onto State Route 800. At the same, Megan Erin Wall, of Beallsville, was traveling north on State Route 800 in a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee. While making the turn, Hoke struck Wall, causing the Grand Cherokee to overturn and end up on its top. The Trailblazer had functional damage and the Grand Cherokee disabling damage. Hoke, his passenger and Wall were treated at the scene by Woodsfield EMS. Hoke was cited with traffic control devices.
