Heart disease remains the leading cause of death in the United States, making heart health a priority for individuals and healthcare providers alike. Midway Community Seniors will meet at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10 for games. Lunch will follow at noon. The meal will be provided by the center.

Monroe County PERI Chapter 43 will hold its regular meeting at noon Monday, Feb. 3 at Woodsfield Methodist Church on North Main Street, Woodsfield. Monroe County Treasurer Taylor Abbott will be out guest speaker. Refreshments will be served. It will be a very informative meeting. Please try to attend.

After serving for close to a quarter century, Gary Ricer, the Chief Executive Officer for Guernsey, Monroe and Noble Counties Community Action Agency is set to retire March 28. Ricer assumed duties for this nonprofit private corporation on Aug. 14, 2001.
