Sometimes you have to wait your turn.That’s been a tough lesson for Karli Weckbacher over the years.Despite being a talented showman, Weckbacher was unable to reach the top – to become the county’s best.Twice she came close, only to finish as runner-up.That is, until this year.Weckbacher finally reached the pinnacle of county showmanship, winning this year’s Supreme Showmanship title.For Weckbacher, the time was finally right.After waiting behind some of the best showmen the county has seen, such as three-time Supreme Showmanship winner Aaron Stephens and last year’s winner LeAnna Messenger, Weckbacher was eager to prove she has what it takes to claim the county championship – and the drive to do so.“After not winning (the past two years), I knew I had to push harder to get to this point,” she said.

First off – I thought we were going to get the little sticks.Second – If not a little stick, a leash of some kind would have been appropriate.Instead, here’s your sheep, sir, now drag it around by its head through the ring there.Now, the clever chap I am, I inquired about the contest beforehand and found out that Karli Weckbacher had a sheep she described as “like a dog.” Apparently it was such a good boy, it would just follow me around.So when they start handing out sheep, I grabbed up Karli’s Good Boy right away.Now this sheep was indeed personable.
