Howell, Isaly lead area All-Ohio honorees

The area was once again well represented with post-season honors as several area players were listed among the state’s best as the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association announced the Division VII All-Ohio teams last week.Leading the way for the area were two of the county’s quarterbacks in River senior Kabel Isaly and Monroe Central junior Tucker Howell.Both were named to the second-team offense.Beallsville senior linebacker James Palmer grabbed a spot on the third-team defense.Also for the area, honorable mention went to River senior running back Kaden Johnson and Monroe Central senior wide receiver Carter Knowlton and senior linebacker Dalton Phillips.The Ohio Valley Athletic Conference also announced its all-conference selections.First team honors went to Beallsville’s Marky Louden, Garrett Perkins and Colton Shriver; River’s Finn Bowers, Maddox Mozena, Isaly and Johnson; and Monroe Central’s Howell and Knowlton.OVAC honorable mention went to Beallsville’s Hunter Cole, Conner Hagan and Palmer; River’s Parker Bennett, Colton Cisar and Lucas Dennis; and Monroe Central’s A.J.
