It’s got to be weird having a bunch of people standing around just for you, traveling hours just to watch you run for less than 20 minutes.You can suppose River’s Mara Beard is used to it by now.It was her third trip to state after all.She’s had friends and family, her coach and teammates and newspaper guys chasing her across the state for the past four years.And every year she’s made each of them proud.This year was no different as Mara put together the best performance ever ran by a River athlete at the Division III State Cross Country Championships Saturday, Nov.
