Charles “Charley” Ray Lively, age 92, of Hannibal, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 29, 2023. He was surrounded by his family at home.
He was born July 3, 1930, in Duffy, the son of the late Samuel and Ityl (Hudson) Lively.
Charley was a retired Iron Worker of 70 years at Local 549, Wheeling, West Virginia, and was a member of Hannibal Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge #597 F&AM, Clarington, and Scottish Rite 33 degree, Cambridge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Elizabeth “Betty” Coleman Lively; two sisters, Violet “Nan” Beisel and Marjorie “Mimi” Heidenreich; brother, Samuel “Bud” Lively; and granddaughter, Misty Schilling.
Survivors include his four daughters, Lisa (Dave) Smith, of Powhatan Point, Kristy (Larry, Jr.) McConn, of Hannibal, Cynthia (John) Zugaro, of Cincinnati, and Lydia Rizzo, of Canton; 11 grandchildren, Kyle, Kole (Brittany) and Kalee Smith, Marcus (Michelle), Austin (Katie) and Elizabeth McConn, Charley and Chelsey Zugaro, Donnie (Christy) Schilling, Jessica Chapple, and Ashley Brady; 14 great-grandchildren, Raelyn, Marcus, Roman, Alicein, Caleb, Josie, Alex, Ava, Rhoen, Wyatt, Lucca, Alice, Freya and Finn; and several nieces and nephews.
Family received friends Monday, July 3, 2023 until the time of the funeral service at the Hannibal Methodist Church, 52732 Main St., Hannibal, with Pastor Ramon Poisson officiating. Masonic Services were held prior to the service.
Interment was at Harter Cemetery, Hannibal.
