Clarice Pauline Harmon, 95, of Rinard Mills, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at her home.
She was born at Madison, W.V., on July 19, 1930, a daughter of the late John and Armelia Jarrett McCune.
Pauline was a retired cook and custodian for Switzerland of Ohio School District and a former cook for YCC camp. She was also a former Avon representative and a former switchboard operator many years ago.
She was a member of Creighton Ridge Church of Christ; a founding member of Ladies Auxiliary of the Bethel Volunteer Fire Department and also a founding member of Bethel Community Center, where she greeted everyone with a smile.
She was very devoted to the Bethel community, enjoyed making Sunday dinners, and was always able to find a four leaf clover. She loved everyone and never met a stranger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Eugene Harmon; two daughters, Brenda Scarbro and Kathy Graham; four sisters, Betty Shankland, Beulah Needs, Grace Revels and Dora Revels; two brothers, Donald McCune and Edward McCune; two sons-in law, Daiton Scarbro and Paul Britton.
Surviving are three daughters, Susan Scarbro of Rinard Mills, Ohio, Glenda (Leroy) Scarbro of Graysville, Ohio, Betty Britton of Marietta, Ohio; two sisters, Ellaine (Carroll) Coy of Galion, Ohio, Alice Schafer of Marietta; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78, Woodsfield, Ohio, from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday, August 10, 2025, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 11, 2025, with Kent Parks officiating.
Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery near Marr, Ohio.
